The 54 drawn to scale from the table, with no build on it. Stack and reach run from the bottom bracket to the top of the head tube; every size is solved from those two. One square is 100 mm. A dashed tube is a number the maker left out (est.).

The maker's cockpit

No stock cockpit I can name, so every size is solved on a generic stem and bar unless you choose one on the sheet.

SECOND-HAND NUMBERS, NOT CHECKED AGAINST THE MAKER: Bike Insights' record of the Vitus 797, version "1993", build "Base" (rim, aluminum frame, drop bar on Bike Insights), 6 sizes 48, 50, 52, 54, 56, 58. Source: aggregator (Bike Insights): version "1993", build "Base", numbers read from the page's __NEXT_DATA__ data script; the maker no longer publishes this table
How I read Bike Insights' table
Vitus's own site (vitusbikes.com, its current range read on 2026-10-21) no longer carries this generation's table, so Bike Insights is the source of last resort (D4 second amendment). The current generation, from the maker, is vitus-energie-2020.json, vitus-energie-2022.json, vitus-energie-evo-2021.json, vitus-razor-2021.json, vitus-substance-carbon.json, vitus-substance.json, vitus-venon-evo.json, vitus-vitesse-evo-2020.json, vitus-vitesse-evo.json, vitus-zenium-2022.json, vitus-zx-1-evo.json, vitus-zx1-2020.json. Bike Insights cites as its source: Vitus 1998 catalogue. Field mapping from Bike Insights: stack, reach, head_tube_angle, seat_tube_angle (from its seat_tube_angle field), head_tube_length, top_tube_effective (from none), seat_tube_length (from seat_tube_length_center_center, seat_tube_length_center_st_top, the first of centre-to-top, centre-to-top-tube, centre-to-centre that it holds), chainstay_length, wheelbase, bottom_bracket_drop, fork offset, front_center, and from its base build the standover height, stem length and handlebar width (a width recorded in cm is converted to mm). Bike Insights stores no published trail (only its own computed one), so trail is null. Its base build lists a 622 mm rim and a 29 mm tyre. Bike Insights files this as a drop-bar performance road bike, names the version 1993 and cites the Vitus 1998 catalogue as its source for every size; the year in the file name is Bike Insights' label. No other table for this frame was found. Bike Insights cites the maker's page: Vitus 1998 catalogue.
